I came across this book online and ordered it through a local book shop IMMEDIATELY. Flipping through, there are a lot of ladies and a lot of unique ingredients. I saw this recipe honouring Whina Cooper. I have añejo tequila (not Reposado) and maraschino syrup instead of Cherry Heering Liquer. And no oranges for the garnish….. or the correct glass, but figured I would try anyway. And I am glad I did.This is the best way I have ever had tequila mixed into a drink. Highly recommend.
